What Have I learned?



︎Use UX method to approach game design challenge and design what players find engaging.

︎Design touchpoints for a long-lasting experience to maintain players’ interest, to constantly motivate them and to immerse them in a fictional narrative.




Where Can I Improve?

︎Select test participants from more diverse background.

︎Take time factor into consideration during the usability test because the players are supposed to engage with the game for a long period of time.






Afterthoughts︎︎︎

Since the scope of the project is to redesign the Plague Inc, it is better to keep the core mechanics of the game intact. Some good yet bold ideas that conflict the core gameplay are discarded.

Later, I put some of those ideas into another project, which is more self-driven and experimental:︎︎︎Hyper-Virality.
